Championing Women in Tech This International Women's Day

In the spirit of International Women's Day (IWD) this March 8th, we are proud to highlight our dedication to advancing women in technology.

This year's theme, #InspireInclusion, reminds us of the urgent need for collective action to achieve gender parity, celebrate the achievements of women, and combat bias.

Our commitment to these ideals is reflected not just in words, but in tangible action. We are thrilled to highlight our support for Tech She Can, an organisation committed to encouraging young women and girls to explore careers in technology.

With our donation to Tech She Can, we are not merely contributing financially; we are investing in a future where technology is shaped by diverse perspectives and is accessible to everyone.

This donation, facilitated by our Delight Committee in celebration of IWD, symbolises our pledge to be active participants in fostering an inclusive tech industry. 

Annie Lawrence-Guy, our Head of Strategic Initiatives, eloquently expresses our collective sentiment:

Tech She Can's work is vital in dismantling barriers that prevent women and girls from pursuing technology careers. Through their educational programs, workshops, and advocacy, they challenge existing stereotypes and promote a more inclusive tech environment.

Our own statistics reflect a steadfast commitment to continually improving gender equality: 1 in 3 of our colleagues are women, surpassing the industry average. We also take immense pride in the fact that 69.2% of our line managers and 40% of our Executive team are women, showcasing our belief in the transformative power of diverse leadership.

As part of our IWD commemoration, we are on the lookout for an inspirational speaker to further enrich our dialogue on gender equality within the tech sector. We warmly invite individuals passionate about this cause to connect with us.
